I'm thinking that just quitting sports would be a good idea. You would think that now that Sabre's hockey is over (and the Portland Pirates, their AHL affiliate, is also out) I could care less.

But no. I have decided I must be a sadist. For some reason I feel the need to pick a favorite team in every series and my teams are breaking my heart!

Thank you to the Blackhawks, the boys from Buffalo (having been from there and played there), Patrick Kane and Brian Campbell are moving on to the Western Conference Finals! This did make my week! I'm pulling for these guys to win the cup...they lack the experience, but they are my team!

I am very, very angry with the Caps and the Hurricanes. Seriously. I hate, hate, hate the Bruins and the Penguins and need to see them knocked out, but NO! The Caps have to force a game seven after winning the first two...much like the Hurricanes are up 3-1 and are also going to game seven. UGH. At least my other Western team is up 2-0 on Detroit, I would love to see Anaheim take Detroit in game 7! At least on Miller is still in the playoffs!

How do I let myself get this involved? These aren't my teams, I shouldn't care. Yet, I still I feel the need to choose a team in each series...it even extends to the AHL...we are all about the Providence Bruins getting knocked out since they knocked out the Pirates. We went to Worcester Saturday and were screaming for the Sharks...what is wrong with us!?

Sports suck...but they so do not!
